How to clean workplace mats

There are several ways to clean mats, so here are some recommendations:

• Make sure the cleaning staff vacuums the mats regularly to remove dust and dirt.
• If you want a thorough cleaning, you can hose down rubber and vinyl mats with high-pressure water. To do this, you should take them outside.
• Soap and water are a good combination for cleaning workplace mats and removing dirt and debris, especially during the rainy season.
• It is advisable to use a neutral cleaner to remove stains from workplace mats, as this product does not discolour them.
• Be sure to dry the mat after cleaning, lay it flat to dry and, once ready, reinstall it.
• The floor must be clean before reinstalling the mat.  All dirt under and around the mat must be removed first.
